The authors study a nonlinear analogue of Fourier series based on iterative Blaschke factorization, giving rise to so-called unwinding series. After a reminder of related works and notations, the main result (Theorem 1) is presented in the second section of the paper. Also a slight generalization and an unwinding series on $\mathbb R$ are given. In the third section a collection of known facts, additional background material, the Guido and Mary Weiss algorithm, and some applications are presented. The complete proofs of the main theorem and other recalled theorems and corollaries are given in the last section of the paper.
