The paper under review constructs an injective algebra homomorphism from the quantum group \(U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1})\) into a quantum cluster algebra associated to the moduli space of framed \(\mathrm{PGL}_{n+1}\)-local systems on a marked punctured disk. This embedding turns out to have an interesting property that each Chevalley generator of \(U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1})\) is mapped to a cluster monomial in some quantum cluster chart. The proof of the injectivity is based on ``tropicalization'' of the images of PBW basis. The paper proposes a description of the coproduct on \(U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1})\) in terms of the quantum cluster algebra associated to the marked twice punctured disk and a description of the \(R\)-matrix in terms of a mapping class group element corresponding to the half-Dehn twist rotating one puncture about the other. These descriptions make it possible to realize the algebra automorphism of \(U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1})^{\otimes 2}\) given by the conjugation by the \(R\)-matrix followed by the flip of tensor factors as an explicit sequence of cluster mutations, and derive a refined factorization of the \(R\)-matrix into quantum dilogarithms of cluster monomials.
