The paper under review is concerned with the study of Palais-Smale sequences associated to the conformal Dirac-Einstein problem. The main results can be summarized as follows: (i) an associated bubbling phenomenon; (ii) an Aubin-type result leading to the existence of a positive solution; (iii) the existence of infinitely many solutions under some symmetry assumptions on the underlying manifold. The proofs combine variational and topological methods.
