The authors study the fractional nonlocal diffusion equation with fractional time derivative \[ \partial_t^\alpha u + \mathcal{L}^s (u^m) = f, \qquad (x,t) \in \mathbb{R}^d \times (0,T), \] endowed with compactly supported initial data \(u_0 \in L^1 (\mathbb{R}^d)\), where \(d \in \mathbb{N}\), \(m>1\), \(s,\alpha \in (0,1)\), \(f \in L^\infty (\mathbb{R}^d \times (0,T))\) is smooth, and \(\mathcal{L}^s\) is a Lévy-type nonlocal operator (generalizing \((-\Delta)^{\frac{s}{2}}\)). The authors prove the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions. Moreover, they prove that the weak solution is bounded and Hölder continuous for all positive times. The first result relies on an appropriate approximation and properties of maximal monotone operators, while the second relies on oscillation estimates obtained in two lemmas of De Giorgi type.
