The paper starts with a motivating introduction to the main concepts needed for the results of the paper, namely multiplier convergent sequences and almost convergent sequences and series. In \(\ell_\infty\) an almost convergent sequence is a sequence \((x_n)\) such that \(\varphi(x_n)=y\) for all Banach limits \(\varphi\in S_{\ell_\infty^\ast}\) and some \(y\in\mathbb{R}\). A very interesting question posed in the paper is whether for a general (real) Banach space a family \(\Phi:\ell_\infty(X)\to X\) can be found such that \((x_n)\subset X\) is almost convergent to \(y\in X\) if and only if \(\varphi(x_n)=y\) for all \(\varphi\in\Phi\). The family \(\Phi\) would then be called generalized Banach limits. Section 2 in the paper is mainly a study of properties of the set of classical Banach limits. In Section 3 bounded multiplier conditions are introduced to the study of almost convergent series. More precisely, for a real Banach space \(X\), the class \(X(S,AC)\) is defined as the set of sequences \((x_n)\subset X\) such that \(\sum_n a_n x_n\) is almost convergent for all \((a_n)\in S\) where \(c_0\subset S\subset\ell_\infty\). Also a weak version of the above space is defined and both are shown to be complete under the norm \[ \|(x_n)\|=\sup\{\|\sum_{i=1}^N a_i x_i\|_X : N\in\mathbb{N},|a_i|\leq 1, i\in \{1,2,\dots, n\}\}. \] Section 4 consists of two Hahn-Schur like theorems; the main new idea is to try to conclude norm-convergence in the space \(X(c_0)\) from (some appropriate) bounded multiplier almost convergence. The paper ends with five open problems, the first one being the nice one mentioned above.
