Let \(F\colon{\mathcal C}\to{\mathcal D}\) be a functor, and let \({\mathcal F}\colon\Hom_{\mathcal C}(\cdot,\cdot)\to\Hom_{\mathcal D}(F(\cdot),F(\cdot))\) be the natural transformation taking \(f\) to \(F(f)\). The functor \(F\) is called naturally full if \(\mathcal F\) has a right inverse. General properties of naturally full functors are presented, and criteria for adjoint functors to be naturally full are given. Several examples are given, including restriction and extension of scalars functors for categories of modules, and functors associated to categories of comodules over corings.
