The paper deals with the following vector nonlinear Schrödinger equations with magnetic field: \[ \begin{aligned} iE_t+\Delta E+|E|^2E+i(E\wedge B)&=0\\ \Delta B - i \eta \nabla\times\nabla(E_1\wedge\overline{E})+\delta B&=0. \end{aligned}\tag{1} \] Here \(E: \mathbb{R}^+\times\mathbb{R}^3\to\mathbb{C}^3\) and \(B:\mathbb{R}^+\times\mathbb{R}^3\to\mathbb{R}^3\); the constants \(\eta\) and \(\delta\) satisfy \(\eta>0\), \(\delta\leq 0\). Solving the second equation in (1) for \(B\), the system becomes a nonlinear Schrödinger system with nonlocal terms. Due to the rotational symmetry, the authors set \(E=(E_1, E_2, 0)\) for simplicity. The paper contains four types of results: {\parindent= 0.4 cm \begin{itemize} \item[--] blow up in finite time for the Cauchy problem associated to (1); \item [--] a sharp threshold for global existence versus blow up in finite time; \item [--] existence of minimal energy standing waves; \item [--] the orbital instability of the minimal energy standing waves. \end{itemize}} The main ingredients in the proofs are a priori estimates of the nonlocal terms generated by the magnetic field \(B\).
