Let \(\mathcal{H}\) be a Hilbert space and let \(B(\mathcal{H})\) be the algebra of all bounded linear operators acting on \(\mathcal{H}\). The author considers a set \(\mathcal{Q}\) of polynomials in noncommutative variables \(Z_{i,j},\,j\in\{1,\dots,n_i\},\,i\in\{1,\dots,k\}\), and studies the noncommutative varieties \[ \mathcal{V}_\mathcal{Q}(\mathcal{H}):=\{{\mathbf X}= \{X_{i,j}\}\in{\mathbf D}(\mathcal{H}): g({\mathbf X})=0\text{ for all }q\in\mathcal{Q}\}, \] where \(\mathbf{D}(\mathcal{H})\) is a regular polydomain in \(B(\mathcal{H})^{n_1+\cdots+n_k}\). There exists a universal model \(\mathbf{S}=\{\mathbf{S}_{i,j}\}\) such that \(g(\mathbf{S})=0\) for all \(q\in\mathcal{Q}\), under some natural conditions on \(\mathcal{Q}\). This universal model acts on a subspace of a tensor product of full Fock spaces. The variety \(\mathcal{V}_\mathcal{Q}(\mathcal{H})\) can be characterized in terms of the universal model and a class of completely positive maps. Noncommutative Berezin transforms, associated to such varieties, are used to construct an operator model theory and a dilation theory for several classes of varieties in noncommutative polydomains. The author's results apply, in particular, to various commutative cases, connected to the theory of holomorphic functions in several variables and to algebraic geometry.
