In this paper, the authors study capable Lie algebras, which originate from capable groups. They find a necessary and sufficient condition for an abelian finite dimensional Lie algebra to be capable. They also classify capable Heisenberg Lie algebras which have a similar role of extra \(p\)-groups. Moreover, they classify all capable nilpotent Lie algebras of finite dimension possessing a derived subalgebra of dimension one. In the end, they construct capable Lie algebras of arbitrary big corank (in the sense of Berkovich-Zhou).
