    This paper is devoted to the proof of the Orlicz Minkowski problem for polytopes, i.e., the following result: Let \(\phi:(0,\infty)\longrightarrow (0,\infty)\) be a continuous function so that \(\psi(t)=\int_0^t{\frac{1}{\phi(s)}ds}\) exists for every \(t>0\) and is bounded as \(t \rightarrow \infty\) and \(\lim_{t \rightarrow 0^{+}}{ \psi(t)/t}=0\). If \(u_1,\dots, u_N\in S^{n-1}\) are not contained in a closed semisphere and \(a_1,\dots, a_N\) are positive real numbers, then there exists a polytope \(P\) containing the origin in its interior such that \[ \sum_1^N {a_i \delta_{u_i}}=c \phi(h_P(\cdot))S_P(\cdot) \] and \( \|h_P \|_{\psi}=1\) where \[ c=\frac{1}{nV(P)}\sum_1^N{\frac{h_P(u_i)}{\phi(h_P(u_i))}a_i}. \] Here, \(h_P\), \(S_P\) and \(V(P)\) denote, respectively, the support function, the surface area measure and the volume of \(P\), and \(\|\cdot\|_{\psi}\) denotes the Orlicz norm. This result can be already found in the literature. The author provides here a proof different from the one contained in [\textit{Q. Huang} and \textit{B. He}, Discrete Comput. Geom. 48, No. 2, 281--297 (2012; Zbl 1255.52006)]. The classical solution to the Minkowski problem for polytopes is made in two steps: first, the existence is proved; secondly, Minkowski's inequality provides the uniqueness. Following the techniques of [\textit{D. A. Klain}, Adv. Math. 185, No. 2, 270--288 (2004; Zbl 1053.52015)], where both, existence and the uniqueness (Minkowski inequality) are proven simultaneously, the author proves also the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the \(L_p\) Minkowski problem for polytopes, \(p>1\), whose original proof is due to [\textit{D. Hug} et al., Discrete Comput. Geom. 33, No. 4, 699--715 (2005; Zbl 1078.52008)]. The latter provides another proof of the \(L_p\) Minkowski inequality.
