The stable manifold theorem is established for nonautonomous linear differential equations in Banach spaces. The assumptions of nonuniform dichotomy for the associated evolution operator are quite general, because they contain the nonuniform exponential dichotomy and the polynomial dichotomy as particular cases. Six illustrative examples of application are supplied.
