The so-called exceptional orthogonal polynomials have been firstly considered by Gómez-Ullate, Kamran, and Milson in a series of papers and its study has been come to know an increasing interest after the works of Quesne where the connection with exactly solvable models in Quantum Mechanics was stablished. In the present paper the authors studied the properties of the zeros of the\(X_1\)-Jacobi polynomials \(\hat{P}_n^{(\alpha,\beta)}(x)\). Namely, they established the interlacing property and monotonicity of the zeros with respect to the parameters \(\alpha\) and \(\beta\) as well as an electrostatic interpretation.
