Let \(G\) be a simply connected Chevalley group of type \(D_n\), \(E_n\) or \(G_2\) over a \(p\)-adic field, \(p\neq 2\). If \(\pi\) is an irreducible admissible smooth representation of \(G\), such that the wavefront set of \(\pi\) is the minimal orbit, then \(\pi\) is called a minimal representation of \(G\). The authors prove that the minimal representation of \(G\) is unique for types \(D_n\) and \(E_n\), and it does not exist for the type \(G_2\).
