Reduction of generalized complex structures (Q2474530)

This paper deals with the reduction of generalized complex structures. Due to their connection with mirror symmetry, generalized complex structures have been extensively studied. In this work, the authors consider a generalized complex structures \(J\) on a manifold \(M\), endowed with the action of a Lie group \(G\). They study the conditions for \(M/J\) to be a generalized complex manifold. This involves the Marsden-Weinstein reductions of symplectic manifolds. Finally, reduction of generalized Kähler manifolds are also discussed.
