A bipartition of rank \(n\) is a \(2\)-tuple \(\pmb{\lambda}= (\lambda^{(0)}, \lambda^{(1)})\), where (for \(i=0,1\)) \(\lambda^{(i)}\) is a partition of rank \(a_i\), and \(a_0+a_1=n\). Let \(e\) be a positive integer and let \(\mathcal{U}_v (\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_e)\) be the quantum group of type \(A_{e-1}^{(1)}\). The author studies the irreducible \(\mathcal{U}_v (\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_e)\)-modules with highest weight \(\Lambda\), where \(\Lambda\) is the sum of two fundamental weights \(\Lambda_{v_0}+ \Lambda_{v_1}\), with \(0\leq v_1, v_0<e\). For any \(\mathbf{s}=(s_0,s_1)\in \mathbb{Z}^2\), such that \(s_0\equiv v_0\pmod e\) and \(s_1\equiv v_1\pmod e\) or such that \(s_0\equiv v_1\pmod e\) and \(s_1\equiv v_0\pmod e\), there is presented a construction of a module \(M_s\), which is a highest-weight module with weight \(\Lambda_{v_0}+ \Lambda_{v_1}\). It is known that the set \(\coprod_{n\geq 0} \Phi^{\mathbf{s}}_{e,n}\) naturally labels the canonical basis of the module \(M_s\), where \(\Phi^{\mathbf{s}}_{e,n}\) is the set of Uglov bipartitions. In the paper the combinatorics of Uglov bipartitions is studied. Uglov bipartitions generalise FLOTW (Foda, Leclerc, Okado, Thibon, Welsh) bipartitions, which correspond to the case \(0\leq s_0, s_1\leq e\). The combinatorial description of the natural bijection between the set of FLOTW bipartitions and the set of Uglov bipartitions is given. Finally, relations of this bijection with a canonical basis of irreducible \(\mathcal{U}_v (\mathfrak{sl}_{\infty})\)-modules is presented. Moreover, the author describes connections between the theory of Uglov bipartitions, the theory of crystal graphs and the modular representation theory of Hecke algebras of type \(B_n\).
