The authors study the lower bound for the sum of the absolute value of inverse of the derivative of the Riemann zeta-function running over its zeros assuming only that all the zeros of \(\zeta(s)\) are simple. They prove the estimate \[ \sum_ {| \gamma| \leq T}\frac1{| \zeta^ \prime(\rho)| }\gg T \quad (T\to\infty). \] As the Riemann Hypothesis is not assumed their key ingredient in removing R.H. is the unconditional estimate \[ \min_ {T\leq t\leq T+T^ {1/3}}\max_ {1/2\leq\sigma\leq 2}\frac1{| \zeta(\sigma+it)| } <\exp(C(\log\log T)^ 2). \] Here \(C\) is an absolute constant, due to \textit{K. Ramachandra} and the second author [J. Indian Math. Soc., New Ser. 57, 67--77 (1991; Zbl 0807.11039)].
