In a separable Hilbert space, the authors study the equation \[ u''(t)+\delta u'(t)+Lu(t)+\nabla G(u(t))+F(t,u(t))=0, \quad \delta>0. \] Under appropriate assumptions on the operator \(L\) and the functions \(G\) and \(F\), they prove the existence of a weak solution \(u\in W^{1,1}_{\text{loc}}(\mathbb R,H)\) to the equation, satisfying \(\forall t:u(t+T)=Au(t)\), where \(A:H\to H\) is a bounded surjective linear operator such that \(\forall u:\| Au\|=\|u\|\), \(A^p=I\) for some \(p\in \mathbb N\). (For \(A=-I\) one obtains the antiperiodic case). The Galerkin-Bubnov and the Leray-Schauder topological methods are used in the proof. The first-order equation \[ u'(t)+Lu(t)+\nabla G(u(t))+F(t,u(t))=0 \] is investigated, too. Then, the differential inclusions \[ 0\in u''(t)+\delta u'(t)+Lu(t)+\partial G(u(t))+F(t,u(t)) \] and \[ 0\in u'(t)+Lu(t)+\partial G(u(t))+F(t,u(t)), \] are studied, respectively. Applications to four interesting examples are finally given.
