    This paper is concerned with reliable control design with \(H_\infty\) performance constraints for state delayed systems. First, a decentralized \(H_\infty\) output feedback controller for the state delayed system is presented. Then, the reliable decentralized \(H_\infty\) output feedback controller for the state delayed system is constructed based on this derivation. The controller provides guaranteed closed-loop stability and \(H_\infty\) performance even in the case of control channel failures, if these failures occur only within a prespecified subset of control components. The reliable centralized controller against sensor or actuator failures for the state delayed systems is also presented. Illustrating examples are presented to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed approaches.
