Cyclic homology of Hopf algebras was introduced by \textit{A. Connes} and \textit{H. Moscovici} [Commun. Math. Phys. 198, No. 1, 199-246 (1998; Zbl 0940.58005)] and then was developed in a series of papers written by Khalkhali and his coauthors. In the present paper the author extends the theory and he defines cyclic homology of bialgebras with coefficients in stable (co)modules. He also computes bialgebra cyclic homology in several cases including group rings, universal enveloping algebras, quantum deformations and Hopf algebras arising from foliations. Recently, a much more general theory was proposed by \textit{J. Słomińska} [\(K\)-Theory 37, No. 4, 379-394 (2006; Zbl 1123.16007)].
