The authors consider the perturbed evolution problem \[ -u^{\prime}(t)\in A(t)u(t)+\text{perturbation term for }t\in [0,T] \] in a real separable Hilbert space, where $A$ is a maximal monotone operator and of absolutely continuous variation. Existence and uniqueness results are proven in each of the cases 1) no perturbation term, 2) the perturbation depends only on $t$ and is in $L^{2}$, 3) the perturbation depends on both $t$ and $u(t)$, where it is in $L^{\infty}$ for each fixed $u$, Lipschitz for each fixed $t$ and satisfies a linear growth condition, and 4) the perturbation is multiple-valued and upper semicontinuous. The proofs for the first three cases involve setting up a sequence of approximate solutions using discretization. The last case uses the Kakutani-Ky Fan fixed point theorem. Some additional variations of these results are also proven.
