A diffeological space is a set with some collection of set-theoretical maps from open subset of \({\mathbb R} ^n\) that satisfy some axioms that allow to think about these maps as smooth parametrizations. The author constructs a compactly generated model structure on the category of diffeological spaces. The weak equivalences in this model structure are smooth maps inducing isomorphisms on smooth homotopy groups. However, his diffeology on simplices makes all smooth singular simplicial complexes fibrant objects and it seems that the author does not use the standard smooth homotopy groups. Another approach to the problem of existence of a good model structure on the category of diffeological spaces has been proposed by \textit{T. Haraguchi} and \textit{K. Shimakawa} [A model structure on the category of diffeological spaces. I. Preprint, \url{arXiv:2011.12842}].
