A general haploid mutation-selection model is analyzed and some of its applications are briefly discussed. Starting from the evolutionary game theory, the author considers replicator equations describing the dynamics of mixed strategies. A theorem is proved assuring that a set of stationary states (so-called evolutionarily stable set) remains stable if mutation is introduced into the dynamic equations. Its proof is based on the investigation of spectral properties of positive irreducible matrices.
