On the regularity of minimizers for scalar integral functionals with \((p,q)\)-growth (Q2657028)

In this paper, the authors study the minimizers of scalar autonomous integral functionals with \((p, q)\)-growth. This kind of funtionals was introduced and widely studied by Marcellini. He proved, under suitable contidions on the exponents, the Lipschitz continuity of the solutions. Here, the authors improve the Marcellini's results establishing Lipschitz regularity under the condition \(\frac{q}{p}< 1 + \frac{2}{n-1}\) for \(n\geq 3\).
