A system of four parabolic equations modelling chemotactic movement of two competing species with nonlinear sensitivity function and nonlinear secretion of signals is studied in three-dimensional bounded domains. The question of the global-in-time existence of bounded solutions is studied under suitable assumptions on parameters. Some results improve those in [\textit{G. Ren} and \textit{B. Liu}, Nonlinear Anal., Real World Appl. 48, 288--325 (2019; Zbl 1425.92034)].
