This paper addresses the question of when a tunnel number one knot is determined by its double branched cover, proving that the answer is always yes for alternating examples [Corollary 1] but never for satellites [Proposition 1] or those with bridge number more than four [Theorem 1]. Many results that fall between these two extremes are established for Montesinos, \(\pi\)-hyperbolic, and torus knots.
