Stefan problem for a nonergodic facilitated exclusion process (Q2668199)

This work considers a model of the facilitated exclusion process on a periodic domain formed by discrete sites. A walker can move with equal probability to neighbouring sites taking into account the exclusion principle (the occupation of the target site) and the dynamical constraint (the presence of a particle, which can push the walker). The respective Stefan problem describing the phase transition on a free boundary is derived in the hydrodynamic limit. A description of microscopic dynamics and distinct microscopic and macroscopic phases is provided.
