The authors are interested in regularity of solutions and existence of strong global and exponential attractors and their robustness in the case of the tensile beam equation with nonlocal nonlinear energy damping: \[ u_{tt}+\triangle^2 u-\kappa \phi(\|\nabla u\|^2) \triangle u -M(\|\xi_u\|^2_{\mathcal H})\triangle u_t+f(t)=h, \] in \(\Omega\times(0,+\infty)\), \(\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^N\), along with boundary and initial conditions \[ u|_{\partial \Omega}=\triangle u|_{\partial \Omega}=0,\; u(x,0)=u_0(x),\; u_t(x,0)=u_1(x),\; x\in\Omega. \] Here \(\kappa\in [0, 1]\) is called the extension parameter of the equation, which indeed degenerates into the usual sheaf equation when \(\kappa=0,\; \|\xi_u\|^2_{\mathcal H}=\|(u,u_t)\|^2_{\mathcal H}=\|\triangle u \|^2+\|u_t \|^2,\) and \(\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^N\; (N\geq 1)\) is a bounded domain. The main results of this article are: (1) The semiflow arising from any point of the natural energy space \(\mathcal{H}\) lies in the space of strong solutions \(\mathcal{H}_2\) for \(t > 0\), provided that either the nonlinearity of \(f\) has optimal subcritical growth or \(f\) is the true original term without the dissipative condition; (2) The solution semigroup has a strong \((\mathcal{H, H}_2)\) global attractor and a strong \((\mathcal{H,H}_2)\) exponential attractor for every \(\kappa\); (3) The family of \((\mathcal{H,H}_2)\) global attractors is upper semicontinuous in the extensibility parameter \(\kappa\) in the metric \(\mathcal{H}_2\); (4) The family \((\mathcal{H,H}_2)\) of exponential attractors is Hölder continuous in the perturbed parameter \( \kappa\) in the \(\mathcal{H}_2\) metric.
