The notion of weak model category was introduced by the author of this paper in [Theory Appl. Categ. 35, No. 24, 875--958 (2020; Zbl 1445.55013)]. This is a generalization of that of a Quillen model category. It consists essentially of a category endowed with classes of cofibrations and fibrations satisfying certain axioms involving cofibrations with cofibrant domain and fibrations with fibrant codomain. Moreover, it permits all the usual constructions of model category theory, which are easier to construct in this new setting. In the paper under review the author continues the development of this new notion by introducing combinatorial and accessible weak model categories. Through this context he provides a generalization of well known results of the theory of combinatorial Quillen model categories. Finally, the author briefly discusses the constructivity of some of the results of the paper.
