In the paper [Duke Math. J. 168, No. 6, 967--1108 (2019; Zbl 1416.34079)] \textit{G. Cotti} et al. show that some entries of Stokes matrices vanish at coalescing points of an isomonodromic deformation. Later, \textit{D. Guzzetti} [Lett. Math. Phys. 111, No. 3, Paper No. 80, 70 p. (2021; Zbl 1490.34114)] reproves this theorem by using a different approach based on Fourier-Laplace transformation of an isomonodromic deformation with regular singularities. In this paper, inspired by these works, the author gives another proof of the theorem of Cotti, Dubrovin and Guzzetti in the framework of the theory of holonomic \(\mathscr{D}\)-modules. The proof explained in the paper is based on the general result of Malgrange for Stokes matrices on one hand and also on the constancy of certain vanishing cycle sheaves on the other hand. Using the ``formal stationary phase formula with parameters'' shown in [\textit{A. Douai} and \textit{C. Sabbah}, Ann. Inst. Fourier 53, No. 4, 1055--1116 (2003; Zbl 1079.32016)], the author derives the constancy of vanishing cycle sheaves from the formal decomposition at infinity of the Laplace transform of a regular holonomic \(\mathscr{D}\)-module.
