The study of properties for certain especially interesting topology bases is an important line of research with useful applications. In this paper, the authors study some properties of weak bases for a topological space. Some previous results on \(D\)-spaces are generalized in this article. Finally, some properties of the Michael line are shown in this paper and various counterexamples about \(D\)-spaces are shown.
