Concerning Jackson's inequality, \textit{L. P. Bos} and \textit{P. D. Milman} [Geom. Funct. Anal. 5, No. 6, 853--923 (1995; Zbl 0848.46022)] proved a result regarding the equivalence of the global and local Markov inequalities, a Kolmogorov type inequality and an extension property for \(C^\infty (K)\) functions. Their proof suits the real case only due to an essential use of the Jackson inequality in \(\mathbb{R}^N \). The authors of the present paper obtain a corresponding result for sets in the complex plane which involves the intricate interconnectedness of multiple distinct global and local properties: Markov inequalities, Kolmogorov type inequalities, polynomial approximation, extension operators, geometric properties and, ultimately, the behavior of the Green's function. The Jackson inequality in the complex plane (see [\textit{L. Białas-Cież} and \textit{R. Eggink}, Potential Anal. 38, No. 1, 299--317 (2013; Zbl 1272.41009)]) is applied which conveniently allows the authors to work with functions, which are holomorphic in open neighbourhoods of a so called fixed polynomially convex compact set.
