The most productive tool for investigations of bilattice-based algebras is the so-called product representation. The authors recently set up an algebraic framework which enabled the product representation over a base variety to be derived in a uniform way. Combining this method with that of natural duality theory, they demonstrate how to build a natural duality for any bilattice-based variety which has a suitable product representation. This procedure allows to present natural dualities for many bilattice-based varieties for which no dual representation has been previously known, in particular for bilattices with a generalized conflation operation. An analogous procedure for pre-bilattice-based algebras is presented.
