Let \(X\) be a smooth complex projective variety of dimension \(n\). A line bundle \(L\) on \(X\) is said \textit{\(k\)-jet ample} if for any choice of \(r\) points \(x_i \in X\) and multiplicities \(k_i\) such that \(\Sigma_i k_i=k+1\), the restriction map of global sections from \(H^0(X,L)\) to \(H^0(X,L \otimes \mathcal{O}_X/(\otimes m_{x_i}^{k_i}))\) is surjective. There exist different results on \(k\)-jet ample line bundles on surfaces (abelian of Picard number one, \(K3\) surfaces) and on higher dimensional varieties (abelian, toric, Calabi-Yau 3-folds, hyperelliptic), see the Introduction of the paper under review and references therein. This paper focuses on the study of \(k\)-jet ampleness of line bundles on hyperelliptic surfaces: a line bundle of type \((m,m)\) with \(m\geq k+2\) on a hyperelliptic surface is proved to be \(k\)-jet ample. The proof relies on vanishing theorems (Kawamata-Viehweg and Norimatsu Lemma) and in particular the author provides a new proof of the \(k\)-jet ampleness of a line bundle of type \((k+2,k+2)\).
