One says that a symplectic form \(\Omega \) on a complex manifold \((M,J)\) tames \(J\), if it satisfies the condition \(\Omega (X,JX)>0\), \(X\neq 0\) on \(M\). This property is equivalent to the existence of a strong Kähler with torsion metric \(g\) on \(M\), such that \(\partial \bar{\partial} \omega =0\) for the fundamental 2-form \(\omega (\cdot ,\cdot ):=g(\cdot ,J\cdot )\). A pair \((J_1,J_2)\) of commuting generalized (almost) complex structures, such that \(J=-J_1J_2\) is a positive definite metric on the bundle \(T(M)\oplus T^{\ast }(M)\), is called a generalized (almost) Kähler structure.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEIn the article there is proposed a generalized geometry approach to tamed symplectic forms to study the related Poisson and twisted Poisson structures. The authors, in particular, state that the almost generalized Kähler structure is integrable if and only if the almost complex structures \(J\) and \(-\Omega ^{-1}J_+^{\ast }\Omega\) are integrable for a chosen pair \((J_+,J_-)\) of almost Hermitian structures on \(M\). NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEUnder some special constraints the following nice result is stated: If a Riemannian manifold \((M,g)\) is endowed with some skew-symmetric endomorphism \(Q:T(M)\rightarrow T(M)\), then the manifold \(M\) can be expressed as a disjoint union of imbedded submanifolds (the leaves), such that at any point \(p\in M\) the tangent space to the leaf through it is precisely \(\text{Im}Q(p)\). Moreover, the \(\operatorname{rank}Q=\mathrm{const}\), then \(M\) itself carries a twisted Poisson structure. Some interesting statements are also obtained concerning the existence of twisted Poisson structures on a tamed almost generalized Kähler structure when the structure \(J_-\) is not integrable.
