It was shown by the first author in [``Functional calculus and Minkowski duality on vector lattices'', Vladikavkaz. Math. Zh. 11, No.~2, 31--42 (2009; \url{http://www.emis.de/journals/VMJ/articles/2009_2_5.pdf})] that the expression \(\varphi(x_1,x_2,\dots,x_n)\) can naturally be defined in every uniformly complete vector lattice if a positive homogeneous function \(\varphi \) is defined and continuous on a conic section of \(\mathbb R^{N}\). Such extension of the homogeneous functional calculus makes it possible to translate the Minkowski duality to the vector lattice setting and to obtain new envelope representations. This machinery yields the validiy of the classical inequalities in every uniformly complete vector lattice. The aim of the present paper is to extend the homogeneous functional calculus so as to make it continuous and to obtain new envelope representations in vector lattices. The authors also indicate applications to convex and polyhedral inequalities.
