The present paper continues the categorification program of the representation theory of the quantum group \(U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)\). The main result of the paper is the categorification of the Jones-Wenzl projector (the idempotent endomorphism of the \(n\)-th tensor power of the natural representation which picks up the unique \(n+1\)-dimensional simple direct summand). The main difficulty is that to do this the authors are forced to categorify rational numbers. These rational numbers are realized as graded Euler characteristics of the extension algebra of the trivial module over a certain complete intersection ring. The representation-theoretic counterpart of difficulties is in the fact that the categories the authors work are described by properly stratified rather than quasi-hereditary algebras. Using categorification of Jones-Wenzl projector, the authors proceed to categorification of various networks from the graphical calculus for \(U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)\). In particular, this give various categorifications for \(3j\)-symbols. Apart from that, the author give a categorification for the coloured unknot and theta-networks. As a Lie theoretical bonus, the authors compute Euler characteristics of various extension algebra in the BGG category \(\mathcal{O}\).
