The author considers a \(C^\ast\)-algebra \(D^c_{\mu\nu}\) which is a quantum Heisenberg manifold \(D^{c,\hbar}_{\mu\nu}\) with real parameters \((\mu,\nu)\) by \textit{M. A. Rieffel} [Commun. Math. Phys. 122, No. 4, 531--562 (1989; Zbl 0679.46055)] for \(\hbar=1\), and investigates the Yang-Mills problem on \(D^c_{\nu\mu}\) in the setting of the non-commutative differential geometry. This problem was already studied by \textit{S. Kang} [J. Funct. Anal. 258, No. 1, 307--327 (2010; Zbl 1186.58007)] for a specific module \(\Xi\) over \(D^{c,\hbar}_{\mu\nu}\), and Kang obtained a family of connections which are critical points of the Yang-Mills functional on \(\Xi\). But it turns out that they are neither minima nor maxima. In this article the author constructs a connection on \(\Xi\) over \(D^c_{\mu\nu}\) as a linear map \(\nabla^0:\Xi\to\Xi\otimes\mathfrak g^\ast\) for the Lie algebra \(\mathfrak g\) of the Heisenberg group, and shows that it is a maximum of the Yang-Mills functional on the module. Moreover a certain family of minima including \(\nabla^0\) is given and it is shown that the moduli space for \(\Xi\) is non-trivial.
