For an irreducible Hermitian symmetric space \(G/K\) of noncompact type, the \(G\)-invariant Stein domain \(\Xi ^+\) in the complexification \(G^{\mathbb C}/K^{\mathbb C}\) has been introduced by Krötz and Opdam. Let \(G^{\mathbb C}/Q\) be the compact dual of \(G/K\), and \(D=G\cdot eQ\subset G^{\mathbb C}/Q\) be the Borel embedding of \(G/K\). The complexification \(G^{\mathbb C}/K^{\mathbb C}\) is embedded in \(G^{\mathbb C}/Q \times \overline{G^{\mathbb C}/Q}\) as \(G^{\mathbb C}\cdot x_0\), with \(x_0=(eQ,eQ)\). The domain \(\Xi ^+\) is defined as \[ \Xi ^+=\big\{(x,y)\in G^{\mathbb C}\cdot x_0\mid x\in D\big\}. \] The authors prove that \(\Xi ^+\) admits the structure of a twisted bundle \(G\times _K {\mathcal N}^+\), where \({\mathcal N}^+\) is a nilpotend cone in \(\mathrm{Lie\,}(G)\), and describe the \(G\)-orbits in the domain \(\Xi ^+\). The domain \(\Xi^+\) contains the crown \(\Xi \) of \(G/K\). In the tube case the authors show that the domain \(S^+=\Xi ^+\setminus \Xi\) is related to the causal structure of a Cayley type symmetric space \(G/H\) contained in the boundary of the crown of \(\Xi \).
