The goal of the paper is to suggest a description of Blaschke products \(B\) with \(B'\in H^p\) for \(1/2<p<1\), in terms of either their mapping properties or the location of the zeros. Given a Blaschke product \(B\) and a Stolz angle \[ S_\alpha(t):=\big\{z\in\mathbb{D}: \;|z-t|<\alpha(1-|z|)\big\}, \quad 1<\alpha<\infty, \] with vertex at \(t\in\mathbb{T}\), the authors introduce a counting function of the zeros \(\{z_n\}\) of \(B\) by \[ F_{\alpha}(t,B):=\sum_{z_n\in S_\alpha(t)} \frac1{1-|z_n|}. \] One of the main results of the paper states that \(B'\in H^p\) if and only if \(F_\alpha(\cdot,B)\in L^p(\mathbb{T})\), and moreover, there is a positive constant \(C=C(\alpha,p)\) so that \[ C^{-1}\,\|F_\alpha(\cdot,B)\|_{L^p}\leq \|B'\|_{H^p}\leq C\,\|F_\alpha(\cdot,B)\|_{L^p}. \] Next, if the zero set is separated with respect to the pseudo-hyperbolic metric, then \(B'\in H^p\) if and only if \[ \sum_n (1-|z_n|)^{1-p}<\infty. \]
