The authors consider the following boundary value problems which take the name of \textit{The dynamic Marguerre-Vlasov shallow shell with thermal effects} (DMVSS): \[ U_{tt}-\operatorname{div}([B_{ij}])=0, \] \[ \omega_{tt}+\Delta^2\omega-\Delta\omega_{tt}+\Delta\theta-\operatorname{div}([B_{ij}]\nabla\omega)+K_1(x_1,x_2)B_{11}+K_2(x_1,x_2)B_{22}=0, \] \[ \theta_t-\Delta\theta-\Delta\omega_t=0, \] in \(M\times(0,\infty)\), where \((M,g)\) is a smooth oriented Riemannian compact variety such that its boundary \(\partial M\) is also smooth, \(U=(u(x_1,x_2,t),v(x_1,x_2,t))\) stands for the longitudinal point displacement, \(w =w(x_1, x_2, t)\) denotes the corresponding transversal displacement, and \(\theta=\theta(x_1, x_2, t)\) is the temperature at \((x_1,x_2)\in M\) at the instant \(t\). In regard to the boundary conditions, on \(\partial M\times(0,\infty)\), associated to DMVSS, the authors put: \[ U=(0,0),\;\omega=\frac{\partial \omega}{\partial \nu}=0,\;\theta=0, \] and on \(M\times\{0\},\) the authors put \[ U(x_1,x_2,0)=U_0(x_1,x_2),\quad U_t(x_1,x_2,0)=U_1(x_1,x_2), \] \[ \omega(x_1,x_2,0)=\omega_0(x_1,x_2),\quad\omega_t(x_1,x_2,0)=\omega_1(x_1,x_2), \] \[ \theta(x_1,x_2,0)=\omega_0(x_1,x_2) \] \([B_{ij}]\) is a matrix of order two such that their entries are given in terms of the partial derivatives of \(u,v,\omega\), \(Div([B_{ij}])\) is its vector valued divergence, and the values \(K_1(x_1,x_2),K_2(x_1,x_2)\) are the curvatures of the shell. Accordingly, the authors state that if \(K_1\) and \(K_2\) belong to \(W^{1,\infty}(M)\) and if \(U_0\) and \(U_1\) belong, respectively, to \([H_0^1(M)\cap H^2(M)]^2\) and \([H_0^1(M)]^2\), \(\omega_0\) and \(\omega_1\) belong to \(H_0^3(M)\cap H_0^2(M)\) and \(H_0^2(M)\), successively, and \(\theta_0\in H^2(M)\cap H_0^1(M)\), then DMVSS has a unique global bounded solution in certain explicit sense (Theorem 2.1). The proof is essentially based on using Faedo-Galerkin's method and Gronwall's inequality. Then, by shrinking the assumptions on \(U_0,U_1, \omega_0,\omega_1\) of Theorem 2.1, the authors state that DMVSS has a unique weak global bounded solution (Theorem 2.2).
