Generalized semi-invariant distributions on \(p\)-adic spaces (Q522645)

Many problems in the representation theory of reductive \(p\)-adic groups are strongly related to problems on semi-invariant distributions, and methods needed to study these objects are still not fully developed. In the paper under the review, the authors study certain methods which can be used to describe the spaces of so-called generalized semi-invariant distributions.The first main result of the paper is an automatic extension theorem for both semi-invariant and generalized semi-invariant distributions, which is obtained using homological methods. The second main result of the paper is an extension theorem for generalized semi-invariant distributions which includes purely algebraic geometric conditions, which is obtained using meromorphic continuations of Igusa zeta integrals.
