On Bruck loops of 2-power exponent. (Q536027)

In the first part of this paper the authors provide the information needed to study Bol, \(A_r\), or Bruck loops by group theoretic methods. They describe the relations between loops and groups, in particular the Baer correspondence, the relations between Bol loops and twisted subgroups, \(A_r\)-loops, Bruck loops and properties of their loop folders. The second part of the paper is devoted to Bruck loops of 2-power-exponent. Here the authors determine the groups associated to these loops under the assumption that every non-Abelian simple group is either passive or isomorphic to \(\text{PSL}_2(q)\), where \(q-1\geq 4\) is a \(2\)-power.
