Summary: We present a fixed-point theorem for a single-valued map in a complete metric space using implicit relation, which is a generalization of several previously stated results including that of \textit{T. Suzuki} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 136, No.~5, 1861--1869 (2008; Zbl 1145.54026)].
