Let \(H\) be a real Hilbert space, and \(T:H\to H\) be an operator fulfilling {\parindent9mm\begin{itemize}\item[(c1)] \(T\) is \(k\)-demicontractive, for some \(k< 1\); \item[(c2)] \(\text{Fix}(T)\) is nonempty; \item[(c3)] \(I-T\) is demiclosed at \(0\). \end{itemize}} Further, let \((\alpha_n)\), \((\beta_n)\) be two nonnegative sequences satisfying the additional conditions {\parindent9.5mm\begin{itemize}\item[(d1)] \((\beta_n)\subset (0,b]\), with \(0< b< 1-k\); \item[(d2)] \(\alpha_n \to 0\) and \(\sum_{n=0}^\infty \alpha_n=\infty\); \item[(d3)]\(\alpha_n/\beta_n\to 0\). \end{itemize}} Then, for the iterative procedure \[ v_n=(1-\alpha_n)x_n, x_{n+1}=(1-\beta_n)v_n+\beta_nTv_n, \] the sequence \((x_n)\) converges strongly to the least norm element of \(\text{Fix}(T)\). Some numerical examples are then proposed to emphasize the characteristics of the considered algorithm.
