Let \(M\) be a complex manifold and \(\mathcal{X}_{\mathcal{O}}\)\((M)\) the Lie algebra of holomorphic vector fields on \(M\), equipped with the topology of locally uniform convergence. A Lie subalgebra \textbf{g} of \(\mathcal{X}_{\mathcal{O}}\)\((M)\) is called a geometric structure on \(M\) and is said to have the density property if \textbf{g} is the closure of the subalgebra of complete vector fields in \textbf{g}. Obviously any geometric structure of a compact complex manifold has the density property, and the author concentrates his considerations on Stein manifolds and complex Lie groups. His main results: If \(M,N\) are Stein manifolds with the density property (i.e. the maximal geometric structures of \(M\) and \(N\) have the density property) then \(M\times N,M\times\mathbb C\) and \(M\times\mathbb C^{*}\) also have the density property. Let \textbf{g}\(_{0}^{n,k}\) (resp. \textbf{g}\(_{T}^{n,k}\)) be the Lie algebra of holomorphic vector fields on \(\mathbb C^n=\mathbb C^k\times\mathbb C^{n-k}\) which vanish on (resp. are tangent to) \(\mathbb C^k\times\{0\}\), \(n>k\geq 1\) (resp. \(n>k\geq 2\)). Then these geometric structures have the density property. Assume that \(M\) is \(n\)-dimensional with trivial canonical bundle and \(\omega\) a non-vanishing holomorphic \(n\)-form on \(M\). The holomorphic vector fields \(X\) on \(M\) with vanishing divergence with respect to \(\omega\) form a Lie subalgebra \({\mathcal X^{\omega}_{\mathcal{O}}}(M)\) of \(\mathcal{X}_{\mathcal{O}}(M)\). \(M\) is said to have the volume density property if this geometric structure has the density property. The author shows that \(G\times\mathbb C\) has the volume density property for every complex Lie group \(G\), and that \(G\times\mathbb C^*\) has it if \(G\) does. See also [the author, Mich. Math.
