The aim is to consider the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation on interval \((0,1)\) with periodic boundary conditions. This equation can be viewed as a Hamiltonian system in phase space with a given Poisson structure. The authors introduce angle variables given by Abel map, prove regularity properties, and give asymptotic estimates for angle variables. Moreover, the authors establish regularity properties for Birkhoff coordinates, and obtain some new results.
