The Riemann-Liouville operator can be defined on the space of continuous functions on \(\mathbb{R}^2\) by \[ \mathscr{R}_\alpha(f)(r,x)=\left\{\begin{array}{ll} \dfrac{\alpha}{\pi}\displaystyle\int_{-1}^{1}\displaystyle\int_{-1}^{1}{f\left(rs\sqrt{1-t^2},x+rt\right)(1-t^2)^{\alpha-\frac{1}{2}}(1-s^2)^{\alpha-1}}\ \text{d}t\ \text{d}s; & \mbox{if}\ \alpha>0 \\ \dfrac{1}{\pi}\displaystyle\int_{-1}^{1}{f\left(r\sqrt{1-t^2},x+rt\right)}\ \dfrac{\text{d}t}{\sqrt{1-t^2}}; & \mbox{if}\ \alpha=0. \end{array}\right. \] For an admissible window function \(\psi\in L^2(\text{d}\nu_\alpha)\), the Stockwell transform \(ST_\psi^\alpha\) associated with the Riemann-Liouville operator is defined on \(L^2(\text{d}\nu_\alpha)\) by \[ ST_\psi^\alpha(f)(a,b,r,x)=\int_{0}^{+\infty}\int_{\mathbb{R}}{f(s,y)\ \overline{\psi_{a,b,r,x}^\alpha(s,y)}}\ \text{d}\nu_\alpha(s,y), \] where \((s,y)\in [0,+\infty) \times \mathbb{R}\) and \(\psi_{a,b,r,x}^\alpha\) is given by the relation \[ \psi_{a,b,r,x}^\alpha(s,y)=\tau_{(r,-x)}^\alpha\ M_{(a,b)}^\alpha\ D_{(a,b)}^\alpha \psi(s,y). \] Here, \(\tau_{(r,-x)}^\alpha\), \(M_{(a,b)}^\alpha\) and \(D_{(a,b)}^\alpha\) are translation, modulation and dilation operators, respectively. The authors prove some properties of the Stockwell transform including the Plancherel formula, Parseval formula and reconstruction formula. Pitt's inequality and Beckner logarithmic uncertainty inequality are also established for this transform.
