A vector bundle \(E\) on a polarized projective variety \((X, \mathcal{O}_X(1))\) is called an aCM bundle if \(H^i(X, E(k))=0\) for all \(0<i<\dim X\) and \(k\in \mathbb{Z}\). A well known result of Horrocks asserts that aCM bundles split as direct sums of line bundles. The study of aCM bundles on various type of projective varieties has attracted the attention of a lot of researchers. Using Borel-Weil-Bott theorem, \textit{L. Costa} and \textit{R. M. MirĂ³-Roig} [Adv. Math. 289, 95--113 (2016; Zbl 1421.14006)] classified irreducible homogeneous aCM bundles on Grassmannians, specifically isotropic Grassmannians of type \(A\). Following their work, the authors of this paper classified all irreducible homogeneous aCM bundles on isotropic Grassmannians of types \(B\), \(C\) and \(D\): {Theorem.} Let \(E_\lambda\) be an initialized irreducible homogeneous vector bundle with the highest weight \(\lambda\) over the isotropic Grassmannian \(G/P(\alpha_k)\) of type \(B\), \(C\) or \(D\). Let \(T_{k,\lambda} = (t_{ij})\) be its step matrix. Set \(n_l = \#\{t_{ij} | t_{ij} = l\}\). Then \(E_\lambda\) is an aCM bundle if and only if \(n_l \ge 1\) for any integer \(l \in [1, M_{k,\lambda}]\), where \(M_{k,\lambda} = \max\{t_{ij}\}\). Suppose \(\lambda = \sum_{i=1}^n a_i\lambda_i\). Based on the above theorem, the authors deduced necessary conditions on \(a_k\) so that \(E_\lambda\) is aCM. Eventually, the paper concluded that there are only finitely many homogeneous irreducible aCM bundles on isotropic Grassmanians of Type \(B\), \(C\) and \(D\). Recently, the same technique has been applied by Fang and her coauthors to other homogeneous varieties on which similar results were obtained.
