An arithmetically Cohen-Macaulay (aCM) bundle on a smooth projective manifold \(X\) is a vector bundle \(E\) such that \(H^i(X,E(p))=0\) for all \(0 < i < \dim X\) and \(p \in \mathbb{Z}\), where \(E(p)=E \otimes \mathcal{O}(1)^{\otimes p}\) denotes the \(p\)-th twist with the chosen polarization \(\mathcal{O}(1)\). The paper under review gives a characterization of the Chern character of semistable aCM bundles on an abelian variety of Picard rank one (Theorem 0.2). The proof is based on the stability-preservation analysis of Fourier-Mukai transform, with the help of introducing aCM sheaves, a slight generalization of aCM bundles. The paper also gives an application of Theorem 0.2 to Ulrich bundles (Proposition 2.9).
