This paper concerned with the existence of solutions for the following one dimensional Minkowski curvature problem with singularity of the form \[ \begin{cases} -(\phi(u'(t)))'=\lambda h(t)f(t,u(t)),\quad t\in (0,1),\\ u(0)=u(1)=0, \end{cases} \] where \(\phi(s)=s/\sqrt{1-s^2}, s\in(-1,1)\), \(\lambda>0\) is a parameter, \(h\not\equiv 0\) on any subinterval in \((0,1)\), \(h\in \mathcal{H}=\{h\in C((0,1),[0,\infty)): \int_0^1t(1-t)h(t)\textrm{d}t<\infty\}\), and \(f\in C([0,1]\times[0,1/2),[0,\infty))\) or \(f\in C([0,1]\times(0,\infty),(0,\infty))\). In this paper, the authors obtain new existence results of positive solutions under different assumptions on the nonlinear term. The main tool are fixed point arguments and perturbation technique.
